October 24, 2026
WHEN: Saturday October 24 from 2 – 4pm
WHERE: Julie’s Coffee and Tea Garden, 1223 Park Street in Alameda
Please email Jeff Raz if you plan on coming:
Join us to explore the profusion of measures on our ballots over cups of tea or coffee and snacks. This is a chance to be engaged citizens together in the spirit of joy, hope, and possibility.
Come early and get some lunch (you can even order ahead)
Voting doesn’t need to be an isolated act, with each of us researching our ballots alone, then rushing in and out of the booth, or mailing our ballot hoping we actually understood what we voted for or against. Democracy is best done together, supported by friends and neighbors who also want to make a difference.
Bring any notes you’ve already made and your sample ballots, not your final ones, so you can scribble and spill drinks on them. We’ll discuss each proposition with the goal of sharing knowledge and opinions, not convincing anyone to vote one way or the other.
See you on Saturday, October 24 at Julie’s.
